You may be cold
As a witch's inseam,
But you're not as cool
As the Jive Combat Team.

Because I couldn't come up with a synonym that rhymes, that's why.

Not much "modern" poetry rhymes, anyway.

Hi Howard,

You could have used "old" instead of "cool". Then it would rhyme.  ;D

I felt the polar vortex when I read that someone sent all the moderators on stunt hanger a pm and that we were worthless at moderating. funny  I have been a member of this site since day 1 and have never deleted any of the pm's I have received and nowhere do I see one from this aviojet fella.  I have no beef with him but I feel like his statement is very uncalled for.

It's the second and fourth lines that rhyme.  I could have put "Jive Combat Wit" on the fourth line, but that would be cheating and we'd be a syllable short on the second.  This is harder than it looks.

Although you may hate
the Brass Monkey's fate,
there's one thing that must be said:
the JCT is warm and safe,
snuggled asleep in their bed.

Surely, there is an "ap" for that rhyming stuff? Which leads to the question: Is a MAC better for poetry than a PC? Perhaps a subject for a study worthy of a goobermint grant?   ::)  Steve

Howard is up there in Seattle,
getting his plane ready for battle.
He'd better get crackin'
or his plane will be lackin'
and he'll be up creek, without paddle.

The problem with electric is that once you get the smoke generator and sound system installed, the plane is too heavy.

The country is frozen
except for the chosen
who live on the far West coast...
one of whom has renown
as a once-famous Clown,
who will soon be able to boast.

I don't mean to boast
But its warm on the coast
Tomorrow we'll fly
In bright sun and blue sky

But don't envy us
 Or make a big fuss
We pay outrageous taxes
 Cause our leaders are jack-asses

Hey Guys,, I think we should take a lead from Mr. Walker,, we need to keep Howard chained to his building bench,, he has a deadline,, and that deadline needs to include some serious flying time,,

shall we start a monitoring team to watch over him,, or just call the wife of the guy who builds his airplanes,, NEEDS to build his airplanes
For years the rat race had me going around in circles, Now I do it for fun!

The PAMPA district VP and two executives from the CA propeller works (part of my supply chain) came by today to inspect the operation.  I take it they are part of the aforementioned team.

Time's an illusion, you know

And buildtime, of course, doubly so–

It so rapidly passes,

Or is he just slow as molasses,

And where did his yesterday go?

Building is an art

It's hard to build a take apart

with paper in hand

he will skillfully sand

One piece at a time

he will hopefully find

if he gets stuck

we will wish him luck

His journey starts here

its perfectly clear

The finish starts with the first piece of wood cut!

You may be cold
As a witch's inseam,
But you're not as cool
As the Jive Combat Team.

You may be cold
As a brass monkey's balls
But you're not as old
As those Jive Combat fools.

As Howard is building
he'll be sly as a fox
but if he don't get done soon
he won't have a box

(Inside joke with Howard)

Yeah, but...

Cabela's has boxes.
All shiny and light.
They're made of 'lum'num
They're made for 'spensive guns
So we know what they can take.

This don't rhyme, but the price was right.  LL~ Steve
