Jim Coll Event in Vienna, MD is cancelled

All,

It is with great sadness that we have decided to cancel our contest once again. We had hoped we had seen a breaking point in the Pandemic, but we are now seeing cases escalating at a much higher rate on the eastern shore of MD. This, along with quite a few normal attendees saying that they do not feel comfortable attending this year and it just didn't make sense to move forward.

My apologies for starting and stopping, we really wanted to do this but it makes no sense to take the risk.

Hopefully we will be back to some sort of normalcy for next year.

We understand 100% and appreciate all the planning that went into the efforts to make it happen. 

Myself, I'll continue my efforts to practice flying, maintain my planes and maintain the NVCL field close to home.  Looks like the only score sheets I'll get this season will be the ones from an online contest via video.

Hi Tim and Jack, I for one am crest fallen but in total agreement with you sound decision making. We of the WAMS will look forward to another reunion next year. Thanks for giving it the old College Try this time
