OK, friends of Jim need to know that he is in very serious condition and is in a re-habilitation center.  Carol is overwhelmed with having no body to help her with visitations etc.  Please, Please contact me with a PM or phone call and I will give you phone #s and my personal opinions a to Jim's prognosis. Thanks guys, and at the very least pray for Jim and Carol.

Sorry to hear that Jim is in tough shape. He's a great guy. Best wishes to him and Carol.

He's also been a great contributor to the New England combat scene. Besides being a good combat pilot, he designed the Yankee Nipper that I used to get started in combat.
That design is the basis for the Carbon Coyote, which is also an excellent ship. Jim has also kept us stocked with engine accessories and building supplies.

I've never met him, though I've talked to him on the phone.  A really great guy and very giving.  We will pray for him.

Super nice guy. When I started speed limit combat 2 years ago we talked many times on the phone about his Yankee Nipper design. I built 4 of them and Jim was a big help to me. I ordered center ribs and motor mounts from him and there was always extra goodies in the box. A very generous man. My prayers go out to him and Carol during this difficult time. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he can come home soon.   Mike

I called Carol and Jim Carpenter today, and talked to both of them. Jim's voice was weak. From what I remember, Jim had a massive heart attack on December 25, and has been in the hospital and rehab ever since. I asked Jim if he was taking rehabilitation  treatments, and he said not much.

Evidently they have no family who lives close, and the burden of looking after Jim falls completely on Carol. If any of the combat flyers up in new England reads this, it would be a blessing if you would call Carol and check on Jim's condition.

Jim and Joe Just used to sell the UKEY ARF.

You can get Carol's phone number by sending a private message to me or Joe Just.

Thank You so much Guys!

I've been visiting Jim and Carol at the Whitttier Rehab Hospital. She is there everyday until 4-5 PM. She goes home before dark. I've been a friend of them for almost 30 yrs. He had problems after Xmas and could not breathe. He is really weak.

Again, Thank You so much for your prayers for JIM. Jim is responsible for getting my CL bug back from R/C. His engine knowledge is unprecedented. Let's continue with our thoughts and prayers until he gets well. I will tell Jim and Carol your well wishes for a recovery.

Rafael
