These photo......are gleaned from U know where...but Jim Aron's model and Brett Bucks beautiful photography is just too beautiful for any addicted CLPA to miss even for a second.
Brett also gave up and close information about this amazing project of Jim's masterpiece.
Brett...if you are lurking, Jump in here and share your thoughts on this new CLPA ride of Jim's?

For the record, only the first three are mine, the others are from the J man himself.
The airplane flew this weekend for the first time, and while it's early on, it seemed to fly just fine and showed no serious issues. It's very small - 585 square inches, and has a two-port PA65 running in "Grunt Jr." mode (intended to replicate the sort of run David has on the 75). Has a scaled-down Infinity tail. Other than that, not a lot to say just yet. Promising start, we will see.
There is an interesting corollary to another thread here, but I don't have the heart to point it out.
Brett
p.s. my old trigger finger was a little lazy this weekend, I only have a few additional pictures, but here's one of them that shows the profile - and that Uncle Jimby didn't just slap that paint on there at random, he had a plan.

Perhaps. But my comment, and the airplane, has nothing to do with your thread, article, or ideas.

I understand...
I would certainly not take away from Jim's design.
I do think, owever, that the World Beater article is an adequate explanation of what is trying to be accomplished.

Does the new plane have an arcane message encrypted in some special Jimby code on the fuselage under the stab, like at least one previous plane?

The "arcane encrypted message" was more arcane than intended, because he screwed it up! Had a little confusion about MSB and LSB, as I recall. He has a lot of little bits of wonderfullness in there, waiting to be discovered.

My guess: A combination of three words, SYStem, exTReme, and enEMA. But that's just a guess. LL~ Steve

There is a bit more to say. The Infinity style tail is not the only thing I "borrowed". As I mentioned on the other site, the airfoil on this little guy is Phil Granderson's original Diva airfoil; and while I'm always reluctant to give my friend too much credit (his head is fat enough), that little wing is being asked to do a lot and it's working amazingly well in no small part because of that airfoil, which IS distinctive. I'll leave the discussion of the airfoil to Phil if he wants to jump in. For us lay people, it simply works...boy howdy.
