I wonder how many don't know this young lad from many years ago?  His plans being sold on the bay.

I am pretty sure that he is still active.  He is a member of the AMA Control Line Aerobatics Contest Board.  I think he is running the Nats this year.  The last Senior to win the Walker Cup. (I was one of the few that watched him do it.)  Oh, almost forgot, he is the current President of PAMPA.

Thanks Doc & Keith and everyone else who commented.  Especially like Terrence's comment (who is it???)  One cool thing about hanging out with CLPA flyers - I'm still a "kid"!

I flew a profile version of the Typhoon at Brodak last year; we won & the bird received some nice comments.  It has a good shape that presents maneuvers well. I have duplicate of the original nearly ready to cover - needs a round tuit.  Walter Umland was nearly ready to bring out a kit a few years ago before he got sick, I think it is still on his to do list.

Memory is an odd thing, I remember posing for that picture some 48 years ago - but cannot remember where I left my glasses!

     Hi Dennis;
    I remember really admiring that airplane as a kid. I think it was published in American Modeler magazine? Do you know the issue? Just want to dig it out and revisit it.
   Thanks a lot,
