I have to say one of my favorite stunt planes is the Jets , These semi scale designes look like no other.
It makes you wonder how exciting life was back then to put all the time and craftsmanship into those
beautiful Planes.
These Modelers - Pilots, Designers, Engineers and just your every day hard worker .  What was on there
mind back then in the 50' 60' and 70's . ?

Back when there was three Wars , Rockets to the Moon and Automobiles changing every year.

These modelers building these stunts planes back then must have some really good stories to tell ?

Jut got the mag with 1970 nats winning Sabre D.
Was a large Marut published too. Veco 45 .

Gotta F104 Starfighter drawn , thought out in 75.
Will do as Beringer winged machine though . I hope.

Fuse mtd Trike gear isnt a bad idea for hard arrivals,
so the .35 size Crusader is a must , too .

Was thinking last night the ' Jet ' trend was the last of the original designs.
Opps. .

A sweep wing or three on paper too, anyone fancy a swpt anheadraled Harrier/

Not a stunt ship but could be without all the Carrier hardware. Not old time, built it last winter but it is a jet. This is my rendition of the Navy FJ-4B, started with a set of foam combat wings and a 3 view. Never flown Carrier and wanted to try it, worked on the FJ when I was in the Navy and wanted to make it as close to scale as possible. Since building the big one I have designed and built a 15 size that can be built either as a Carrier or Sport airplane. Talking to a kit supplier about kitting the 15 version but can't really announce the availability yet. The 15 version I built as a sport airplane is a ball to fly with an FP-15, the Carrier version will probably have an OS 15CV-A on the nose. I remember the early jets flying with Fox 35's, which seems a great contradiction. But for some reason a white jet with red and blue trim with the Fox had a real cool factor that I cannot explain.

Here is the Mako Jet.  600 squares, 43 oz. LA46.  Should work.  Color on fuselage this weekend.

Man that Avanti sure has some style ...sure would be neat to see it again.

Hello Bob Reeves i sure like the Fury .  One day i would like to build her too and try
Carrier Event.  

Hi Pat sure like the Mako looks cool.  Thanks for cranking out nice designs lately on
the new .40 versions of the Warbird Greats.  

Jim your right you cant leave out the Fox .35 that powered most of those jet stuntships
back in the day.  The engine did some incredible things and still does today.

I have never seen Wendy's F-16 .  It must be spectacular if comparing them to his
other great models.

Thanks to a buddy, I have the cores (and the plans) to the Thunderchief.  Instead of electric, I may have to use one of my DS 60s.  Next I have to figure out how to get the 1976 Jersey Air Guard decals made up for it.  It will be a fun project when I get to it!

Jets are ok, if they have a trike gear. Champione's F-86 and Scarinzi's "Blue Angel" are both great looking jet Classics.  The round engine is on the wrong end, tho... Steve
