Jan1 Florida flights
« on: January 02, 2011, 10:44:17 PM »
The usual gang braved the mid 70s temps and had their first flights of the year in Stuart Florida.
Pictured are Toby Acierno, Chuck Feldman, Roy Trantham and Dennis Toth.

The first flight was up at 8:05 am all the others had flown at least once by 9:00am. The day was very nice but as the time went by the winds where up. Still flyable though. Ty the wind chill was ? No stinking wind chill. LOL This custom to fly early as possible was started here in Stuart by Robert Compton. He moved away but we still uphold the custom. I would guess we are the first to Fly in 2011.

We are all looking forward to the KOI and hoping for great weather.

That would make me the second down here in Miami. I was in the air by about noon.

Bet you guys are glad I didn't talk the wife into coming down to visit the daughter.  The first time I visited her was to deliver her furniture.  I was down to my jeans and t-shirt and was still sweating my head off in February that year.  The year the temp went down was down to see new grandaughter.  Thanks for the pic as I almost forgot what Toby looked like.   H^^

That's probably the same Dennis Toth.  He did move from NJ to Florida.
