Here's why I still use Dope, with the exception of foam or fully sheeted wing.

Me too Kevin.   What ain't broke don't need fixin'.  A whole lot easier to patch/repair/strip and re-do too.  Sometimes a little more work and sure isn't cheap but you get what you pay for. y1

Kevin,

Dope is great! I even like the smell now that I moved to a different place.

Hey! How's the new house? Congratulations with that!

Jerry, I was over at a friend's place and we both heard a popping sound. When we went to see what it was we seen the silkspan was splitting off the edges along the open bays on the wing of his new Sig Twister. My conclusion was any change in temperature or humidity causes the wood structure to move, and the paint not having any flex to move with it is what caused the splitting.

ABSOLUTELY!!

SO many good memories when I get a whiff of Ambroid or Butyrate dope.

I know there's a lot of scaredy cats that howl about the ingrediants being bad for you... but I've used stuff like that for decades an I ain't got no dain bramage.
