Title: Jack Stafford B-24 Liberator plans needed
Post by: wwwarbird on October 03, 2019, 07:31:36 PM
I've recently acquired a 90" span B-24 Liberator kit that was once produced by Jack Stafford Models. It's an incredible kit that appears to be complete except for the plans. The attached photo is one I found on Google to show an example of the kit. Any leads on where I can come up with a nice set of plans for this one?

I have one NIB and I can have the plans copied, if you're willing to reimburse the cost of repro and postage!  :)

Howdy!  Sorry for the delay but it's been a bit busy around here, preparing for the N.A.S.A. Scale Contest in Deland FL.  I'm a bit saddened since I won't be adding a B-36 to my squadron  :-\ :'( :'(.   LL~ LL~  Anyway, to answer your question, yes I have the kit, the plans are probably "J" size (one really long sheet plus a good sized plan view.  I could get it copied at the local reprographics shop but I'm guessing they're going to charge me about $20 or $25 then probably $10-$12 postage, I'm guessing.  Obviously, if I can get it done for less, that's all I'd ask but at the moment, I'm just giving my best guess.  So, if you're willing to reimburse the actual costs, I'll be getting it our to you, the first of the week  :)!!

No problem with reimbursement Jim but hold off for now, I'll let you know if I end up pursuing that avenue, thanks!

 Jim, or anyone...

I've gotten ahold of an original copy of one large plan sheet, with the "Liberator" title and specs in the lower corner. The sheet shows the fuselage, tail surfaces, and one half of the wing. Was this all that was supplied or was there maybe another one showing the other wing half or possibly the entire wing?
