Title: It was not real pretty but I did it….
Post by: Paul Taylor on August 17, 2009, 09:56:43 AM
I got an index card and drew all the maneuvers on it. As I flew yesterday I went off the card and made all the maneuvers. They were not real pretty but I got through them. I did only do one set of horizontal squares. The plane was running a little slower then I like due to me fiddling with the needle before take off, and the wind was blowing a little more then I like. But I figured I would have to deal with the same situations at some point in contest so I did the best I could with what I had to work with at the time. After I landed I was stoked! I hope to be ready to fly Intermediate for our local contest next month.

Paul,

That's the way it is done. Keep up the good work and I guarantee that your knees will stop knocking!

Now it's on to Intermediate.

Way ta go, Paul! This is one of those things that's made a lot easier by a plane that "works". It doesn't feel fast, it just kinda motors along. Light weight helps! Lots of "thrust" helps! Trimming helps!!!! Zinger props...they don't help!!!  n1

I posted this over on the Judging Clinic Forum, but nobody's uttered a peep about it. I feel pretty bad about making this PAMPA product available for free...but I found it on Stuka Stunt Werks website (not the forum). It would be really nice to send a donation to PAMPA to soothe your guilt...I will, I promise. I'm posting a link to it on the Judging Clinic Forum, so if it doesn't work or something, holla...   y1 Steve

Hi Paul,

That is awesome!  I remember your first posts and everything in between.  Now you can fly the pattern, it is just a matter of time before you get to feeling *right* and you won't have to think about what's next, just about flying the maneuver that you are doing.
