... that the weather got right for flying.
We have had nothing but wind and rain for the past 5 or 6 weekends. The last time we tried to get together and fly with the local guys the wind was 25 plus mph.
Well this afternoon when Ryan and I got off from work (yes he has a summer job) we headed to the field. We called Arlan to join us along with another guy that use to fly R/C years ago and wanted to try C/L. His name is Eric. Ryan has not flown for some time, and I wanted to try the new Cardinal. We got Eric up on Ryan’s Buster. I was able to let go of the handle and he soloed after just two laps. He got in two flights and flew out the tank both flights. I passed on a few planes to Eric that had been given to me. He is hooked.
Ryan hung the Tut2 out for several flights. He got a little close on the bottoms of his triangle. I did not see it but he said it was close to the ground.
First flight on the Cardinal was just round and round. Arlan helped me trim it out. Needed to move the lead outs back and added a half ounce of tip weight. He flew it and said it was not bad. I think I am going to like it. Turns ins and outs OK. Might play with the props a little. Thanks Arlan for flying and trimming my plane.
