Doc made a good point if everyone donated 20.00 we could have a bang up giveaway site. This site takes a ton of work. Un like SSW that has something to sell we do not. It is supported through or advertisers and donations. It seems we fall short every year and I have to pony up out of my pocket for kits and shipping. This year’s goal was only ½ way met and 1 person donated ½ of that.
I called Sig and Micro-Fasteners and they have no way to track hits. So they put me off on donations again. I will be culling the advertisers as we go. AMA has never donated nor has PAMPA. However they are a governing body and I see no reason for them to.
Our moderators do a bang up job and they should get a pat on the back or something for the work they do, don’t you think? But because we run on such a short string I can do nothing for them.
I know the economy is bad now but do not waver. We will survive, just re-think a donation to keep this site free and giving a kit away. If you have any thoughts on how this should be handled post it here. I will make a decision by the end of the month.
For hard donations
Send to

Robert,
Most of the really worthwhile sites that I visit that DON'T have anything to sell have a patrons section and you can't view many of the areas without becoming a patron member. It costs about $25 a year.
I just hit the paypal here and donated.
I never have liked the signal to noise ratio at most of the sites and generally migrate to one that gets above most of that.
My interests are models, hunting, four wheeling, archery, etc. Each of those interests has a site that I've gravitated to and willingly pony up the annual fee. Interestingly enough I don't subscribe to any magazines. I get all I want and more quicker and with more detail via the net.
My point in all this rambling is to encourage you to consider taking a pay to play position.
You have a high quality site, well organized, just a small number of folks interested in this niche hobby.

Robert,
A donation is more than appropriate for a site of this quality.
For those who can not afford same at this time, may I suggest we all revisit a procedure I used, as did others, to help the cause, see below.
We all have a kit, engine or ? that we are "holding" but will probably never use.
Advertising same in the Stunt Hangar Classifieds and donating proceeds (or a portion thereof) to the SH "kitty" helps the cause, provides others with something they desire and clears space in our shop for more "stuff".
Easy to do: Buyer sends funds to Sparky, Sparky acknowledges receipt of funds to seller/donor, seller/donor ships item to buyer. H^^

y1 There is no doubt in my mind that we are in for a major change in the way we live because of the soaring prices that we are seeing. All of this is because of gas prices. Don't forget that most plastic products are also based on oil. The impact on our economy is huge and will be getting worse. I think that contest flying for many people will no longer be affordable. So here's what I am going to do. I will send you a check for some of the expenses that I would have spent going to Tom's cancelled contest in Ga. Perhaps others will do the same. Stunthanger is my primary source of my online reading material. I look at it everyday that I'm home. Perhaps we need to start a Stunt-bay to support the Stunthanger. A percentage of each auction item goes to the site. OK I.m done the check is in the mail.

PayPal donation sent your way. Just a little something from someone living in the great state of "Kaleefornya" as Govenator Arnold would say it! So, have we hit 6% yet?

Hello Robert
I will put a check in the mail today. I definately think this is a valuable forum for anyone in this
hobby. I don't do a lot of posting but I do take a look at what's here almost every day and have had
some very enjoyable conversations with some great people and have been able to learn a lot.
Thanks to all for their efforts

Hey Robert... and here I thought it was ..10% of the people did all the work... ;D at any rate it great to see Clint ponying up some cash... so guess I'll just send ya $30 again to keep ahead of Ole Clint.. but in the long run I would have never met Clint or a lot of other great folks here on Stunthanger had it not been for this site...so I am all for any type of... membership,, or donation plan that arises..... Its a great site and we should all support it..

I don't do pay pal so I mailed a check yesterday.
I don't agree with "pay to play". That's a quick way to lose a LOT of people. No one knows other people's situation. My vote goes for "send something if you can".
