I just compared the number of entries in Event 325 (Advanced) and event 322 Precision Aerobatics (Open Class) for this year and last:

Year Advanced 325 Open 322 Total*

2018 19 30 49
2019 29 41 70*

This does not include any last minute entries before July 15th this year.
I think this is fantastic and probably shows a greater growth than any other NATS Event this Year!

This is absolutely encouraging. My bucket list includes making the top 20 before nature shakes my tree and I was starting to wonder if I would do that simply by entering. I would be even more encouraged if the beginner, JR and SR numbers were up as well.

I spend two weeks each year working with Mark Weiss at Joe Nall and Brodak's , No one promotes our event more the Mark.

. I wish I was at the AMA Nationals , to make it three weeks. ..

Thank You guys. I didn't get much weather at home to work all the bugs out but it felt pretty strong this morning. I added some zig zag trip strips on the stab which seemed to help in a spot or two.
The weather this morning was pretty good but the wind started to get stronger so that by about 12:30 Kestas and I decided lunch was a better idea.
We had thought to resume this evening but the wind never really let up. It's supposed to be be much better the next several days if it doesn't go altogether dead air. I believe Scale processing is tomorrow and I think I heard Kestas say he had an entry for that. I will try to take a break and go get some pictures to upload.
Yes we will have to see how that storm affects us here. Every year there is always some new adventure. Last year was most unusual because the weather was so outstanding the whole time. Could be some creative decisions may have to be made in regards to Classic/N30 and Old Time and the first day of qualifying. Can't say I know of any case where a whole day (or two) were a total wash out at the Nats.
