I finally got enough time to finish the test build of the new RSM P40 Electric Profile that Eric now has available. It is is a wonderful and simple kit to build. Andy Borgogna built one also and has flown his and his report was nothing but positve about how the model flew the pattern.
I used silkspan to cover the wing and doped it with butyrate dope. The paint is rattle can spray with the KBS diamond finish topcoat. This is a one part topcoat and it was brushed on with a sponge brush.
Eric has a winner with this one.

Looks really nice Mike!

Thank you Bill.

That's a looker....I'll be looking for a flight report and maybe a video! ;D

Nice, Mike! The front end looks very neat and well thought out. So many of the e-profiles I've seen lately have wires and connectors dangling all over - yours is sharp!

That looks great. You have me drooling all over the key board.

Looks great Mike.
Did you buff the clear? If not, that's a lot of shine for no buffing.
How is the weight compared to clear dope?

Thanks for all the nice compliments y'all. No Larry, no buffing. That is the way it levels out and shines when it dries. I do not know how it compares to dope in weight but I would guess it was heavier.

Looks good Mike.
You brushed the clear ?
Do you know the total weight ?

Thanks Mike. Would still be interesting to know the weight difference in the two types of clear. Guess one would have to "weigh" the difference in an easy shine and the hard way shine before deciding which clear to use. Yeah, I know, bad pun, but what ya gonna do?
Nice looking plane.
