It has been 32 years since I last flew a C/L aircraft, but yesterday I did it again

Boy am I happy to be back at it. After many years of R/C flying I had almost forgot
how great fun C/L flight is.
For my first attempts I have put together a TF Tutor II with an OS 46 LA-S engine
and 70 ft 0.015" lines. The engine runs on fuel containg 5% nitro, 11% castor oil,
11% Aerosave synthetic oil and the reminder methanol.
It is winter time here in Sweden and I choose to use the frosen lake adjacent to my garden
as my flying field. The temperature was -15C (5F) so in order to allow the engine to reach
normal operating temperature I did wrap some aluminum foil around the cylinder head.
The Tutor turned out to be a very good choice of aircraft for my first attempts because I
have to admit to being more "rusty" than I expected prior to the first flight. I got dizzy the
first couple of flights and level flight wasn't very level at all. On the third flight I managed
to do some not very round loops and on the fifth flight I felt (over)confident enough to perform
a couple of bunts from the 45 degree level. The moment I applied down elevator and saw the
Tutor dive towards earth I regret my decision, but thankfully it worked out allright.
