It's here!!!
« on: February 14, 2017, 09:10:18 AM »
Yes I had seen Don's articles in Stunt news, but being lazy I could not get the gumption to build one of his stooges.  Then someone mentioned that Brodak had a supply of them.  Went on line and did the search and found it.  A few minutes on the computer and the order was in.  Now maybe I can get more flights on my trike geared planes.

It was well packed and I have another sack of foam beads.  Looks very well made.  I am going to give it a coat of poly clear before using as the woods is not finished. H^^

Is that release cord like 1/4"? If so I would replace that with mason's line. I landed on a big line like that and it tore the tail wheel and rudder off of my Nobler!...on it's second flight!! With the masons line it catches (if you hit it) but just pulls the light weight string along...carrier?

You are not supposed to land on the line.  The line is slightly larger than the line I have on my other stooge.

Got the same stooge and it seems pretty well built.. I didn't have the tools to build one myself.

Was gona spray it with the same.color Rustoleum I n used on my.flight box but putting a clear finish on it sounds even better.

yeah...I know your're not SUPPOSED to but eventually, because I like to land close to the same area as lift off, less dragging lines across the field and stuff, well...

Well, you asked for it.  You have to supply your own spikes to hold it to the ground.  He claims it would cost more to ship and spikes are heavy.  If you don't believe me, take one or both and hold them out in front of you and see how long you can keep them there.    LL~ LL~  The cord is Everbilt  poly & poly blends material.  50 LB. working load and is 5/32 in.(3.9 mm) X 75 ft.(22.9m.

Any way it has given me motive to finish the B-25.   Got the wheels on yesterday and I need to find where I put the push rods.  Also need to modify the fuel tanks.  The engines are ready.
