The answers to virtually all photo posting questions are detailed in this thread on the Administration Forum.

Another option :

I use an online web service which is free :

Photobucket.

http://photobucket.com/

You need to sign up and register to take advantage of all the features but its Free, and there is no ongoing fee's to use it. Once off Payment of $0

Its very easy to upload files from your computer - you can search through your computer via the website ( It will look on the computer where your connecting to the internet from.

You can save them into the online album, upload to facebook, generate link codes all with a single click.

You can edit inside very easily, crop, add text, resize - these examples only took about 5 minutes to do and upload to here.

Resize :

Crop :

Add funny bits

Edit somewhat

This was all done through the web - no real expertise required to rescale - you click on " SCALE " and it has predefined sizes or you can use a sliding scale adjusting tool.

VERY easy to use. - When your finished you click the link code and paste it into the forum, email it, upload it to facebook, whereever you need.
If you always put limit on everything you do, physical or anything else. It will spread into your work and into your life. There are no limits. There are only plateaus, and you must not stay there, you must go beyond them.” - Bruce Lee.

I can't beleive that I used to have problems posting pictures when I first got on the forums.  Then I had someone (wife) take me step by step posting pictures and ebay.  34 years working on one of the biggest computors in the world and couldn't figure out a home PC.  And I am still learning. D>K

Doc
It is not the size of the computer but the complexity of the software you are running.

Worse still is the non compatibility between the different computer software programs we (try to) use.

Remember the old adage "Garbage In, Garbage Out."

If your files are to big, go to start on your computer, then in the search for program files .Type in Paint to open the Paint program. Click enter, when the program opens go to top left corner were File is usually, there is an arrow that points down.Click this to view your files.Click open files folder( in windows 7) then search for your pictures.Double click on picture to open. Once pictures is on screen go up to top of screen and look at the view tab. It will say, crop, re size and rotate. Click re size,Then a window will pop up that say Re size and Skew by percent or pixels.Click pixels and turn one of these numbers down( I usually pick horizontal and its usually at 4000, change it to 1000 or 800 in horizontal and it will automatically change the vertical to correspond.Save this picture as (SAVE AS) a different name or add a number to the title to find it when you post a re pile and add a picture as an attachment.
