Post by: Paul Taylor on December 15, 2006, 10:41:20 AM
Weather forcast for Saturday:
A few clouds early, otherwise mostly sunny. Warm. High 73F. Winds S at 10 to 20 mph.

And no snow !!!

 AP^

I am sure going to give it a try. I am sure old man winter will hit us soon.
I have a new gallon of fuel.

We put up a windsock at the field which stands out straight at 15 MPH or more.  I now fly confidently in what I previously thought was too much wind. ;D

I think you should pack it in and stay home.  It will probably be windier than forecast and the sun will get in your eyes.  Also, don't forget the sunblock >:D

Hey, Rootbeard just called with a loud, unmuffled Fox 35 Stunt breaking in the background.  It's kind of nice sitting here in the Mid December Milwaukee cold and hearing a 4-2-4 break on the phone with your buddy.
Nice warm little break.  I could almost smell the Castor.

Paul says they have a new guy out today also.  That's good news; the more we get, the better.

Merry Christmas!

Hopefully, I can make it next time.

Well we did have some nice weather. The wind was a little more then what the weather man said it would be, but it did not stop us from flying. Clouds most of the day. At least we did not have to fight the sun. Arlan, Kreth, Ryan and myself along with Roger Gebhart. He found us here on the boards. He did not have his plane all together yet. He is building a nice stunter and brought it for show and tell. It sure felt light.
Glad I got to talk to Zuriel and Chris on the phone. Next time Zuriel you will have to show up!!!
I did fly Ryan's Buster a few times. Working on my inverted flight. I am feeling better about inverted flight. I did not get too dizzy this time.
We did get the Green Stunter running with a 4-Stroke engine. Arlan flew it until it quit while inverted. No real damage. As a matter of fact the only thing that broke was Arlan's U-Key when something let go in the controls. A little C/A and it will be ready to go.
We tried to get Roger up on the trainer but he wants to wait and break his own stuff.
Kreth got his Scrapper almost dialed in. Doing less the 4 second laps !!! Not sure I would call that is slow combat.
I did put a few flights on the TwistStang. I sure like flying that plane now.
Just as we were packing up late this afternoon the wind died off. It is almost no wind as I look out the window.
Well we got to spend time with friends, burn some fuel and talk about planes and this fun hobby.
We forgot the camera but Ryan did snap two photos from his phone.
My guess is the weather will turn cold in the next few weeks, so I am glad we got out today.
Until the next time....
