Is Norvel still in business?
« on: December 28, 2022, 10:53:39 AM »
Norvel  has a website ( nvengines.com ) which says the Norvel Big Mig .061 CL is still available.     I sent them an email two days ago and haven't received a reply.  I know it's Christmas and that could explain no reply so far, but I was wondering if anyone has ordered a Norvel engine or parts from their website lately and received what they ordered.

I ask because I heard or read that someone had ordered something on a supplier (can't remember which supplier) website, and had their paypal/credit/debit card charged but never received anything they ordered.

I would rather buy a new one than to try to outbid everyone on Ebay for the few Big Mig .061 CL engines that show up, so I'm hoping they are still in business and delivering engines and parts.

  Hi Joe;
    I have tried communication with them but have not had any success. Norvel sold the model engine business to some one else and is called NV now. I believe they are in Ukraine, but not sure. I have mad many inquiries to several places but have not gotten solid information. Let me know off list what you are looking for and I'll see if I can help find you something.
   Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!!

Joe,

On Feb 19, 2022, I ordered a Big Mig .061 from this site and got it within a reasonable length of time.  This is the site I ordered it from.

                The person in the US is Alex, Klondike17@juno.com. I recently contacted him from a old e-mail from years back 4 months ago. He said I could go through him or the website. I've purchased many items through him over the years. Dimitri is the fellow at NV and he would verify what I wanted and then send me a invoice. Hope it works for you. Alex posted his e-mail on Stunthangar years back and I've retained it all this time, this was prior to NV having a website. Ken

Thanks, Mike. I am glad they are still going strong. Was disappointed to hear that Sanye closed their doors forever several years ago. :'(

Their Norvel gasser .40 particularly caught my eye.  %^@ #^

      I sent an email to Alex back in July and he just told me to order from the website. I sent an email to them at that time and got no response, figuring that the current conflict over there disrupting things. I will try again!.

   Good news Joe!! I just want to get a few parts. Are you using the  "www.nvengines.com" website?? I just want to get a few small parts like spray bars. I would even settle for for whole needle valve assemblies.

   Type at you later,

Dan,

 Yes, that is the correct website.    They do have full venturi/needle valve assembly in stock for the Big Mig .061 CL engine.

    I had some trouble figuring out the NV website but finally got an account established with Alex's help. Both Joe and I placed orders and got them in less that a week. The packages have a California return address. So from this experience and reading the website, I think that NVENGINES is a Russian company, and when you order from the website, Alex fills the orders from inventory in this country which is the return address site, I'm guessing. Joe got what he ordered and I got what I wanted but they still do not have any spray bars in stock. They have complete C/L venturi assemblies in stock for 17 bucks I think it was, so I'll just change those out when necessary.
