Stunt clinic in Muncie? Testing the waters.
« on: June 20, 2011, 06:40:40 PM »

D>K   A group of us are, "testing the waters," to see if there is an interest with people in the Midwest, (but not limited to the Midwest) on having two top names stunt pilots (They have finished in the top 5) to come to AMA in Muncie and have a three day stunt clinic. Looking at sometime after the team trials, Sept.

Fri.   Evening, Q&A and airplane check out,
Sat.  All day, two circles for critiquing, one or two circles for practice.
Sun. Early start with same schedule finishing around 2:00 p.m.

There will be a entry fee to cover the travel expenses of our instructors.
I have had conversation with these men and will keep their names confidential for now. If there is an interest, then we will make known their names.

If interested sign up here. We'll know by the time the "Nats" rolls around if this is a go or not.

Blessings
Allen

If this was early in the year, like April or May I might be interested.   Then it would make for using the training of value for the rest of the year.   H^^

Allen,

I would be interested if it does not conflict with the Lafayette Esquadrille contest in St. Louis on September 24th and 25th.

Thanks!

Steve

I have a suspicion that some thing like this would best be run right before or after a contest, during the right time of year. You might get much more interest say if you held it right around the King Orange contest (KOI) held in Florida. Advantages are

1. Florida
2. Time of year
3. Oh did I mention Florida? A lot easier to persuade family members when there are actual attractions a days drive away. (Disney, Sea World, NASA, Busch Gardens, Universal Studios, The Burt Reynolds Museum, Beach Babes, Medieval Times, Women Sheriffs of Broward County, Aligators, Air Boats, The most despised governor in the USA Rick Scott, Free Guns.... well almost free, really interesting bugs of all shapes and sizes, Florida Swamp Monster, Lion Country Safari, Drive thru Liquor Stores, St. Petersburg the strip club capitol of the USA, Gulf of Mexico, Atlantic Ocean, Caribbean Sea, Key West, The home of "You can't get there from here", Legal Fireworks, Mantees, The girls of Wiki Wachi Springs, Century Village, Pain Clinic capitol of the USA, The Gold Coast (literally), Ship wrecks, Oil Rigs, A really really big swamp, plenty of roads named Okechobee and also a lake by the same name, The only underwater hotel in the USA, Palmetto, Red Necks, The PGA, The Ryder Cup, Moroso Speedway, Homestead Speedway, Daytona and the Beach, Para Sailing, Wind Surfing, Water skiing, Scuba Diving, Jet Ski's, Speed Boats, Bass Boats, Yachts, Holiday boat parades, Lobster, Grouper, Tarpon, Mahi Mahi, Wahoo, Barracuda, Sailfish, Dolphins and the football team, Whales, Marlins and the baseball team, Devil Rays (that other baseball team) Joe Robbi Stadium (home of spring training teams) PT. St. Lucie spring training for the METS, and last but not least Miami.   ?.................Burt Reynolds Museum?????......................

Oh Yeah, you might even find some time to fly model airplanes.
But Hey that's just me.

I'd be interested(Indy resident), but I think spring would be better if the instructors schedule allow it.

It was a abridged list.

I could have gone on for another couple hundred words, like Leapin Lizards (Iguana's that fall out of trees, literally), Pythons and Boa Constrictors that are big enough to eat pets and small children, Tree frogs as loud as air raid sirens, Weather you can actually see coming or going, panthers, jaguars (Ice Hockey team) itty bitty deer, really ugly ducks, Cracker Barrel, Sonics, Early Bird Specials, and the list goes on and on.
