Is "silk" silk?

My wife has a draw full of silk scarves. Is this the same silk I used in the 60's?

Silk is silk, correct?

I'm thinking she won't miss a few.   n~

If they are real silk , they will work. In the 1950's and '60's silk scarves were used to cover airplanes. Sometimes the scarves  had interesting patterns.

You do realize that a womans fine silk scarf can cost over $80.00 apiece. Ask me how I know. Your life just might not be worth that much if you do.   n1  y1  :X  mw~

Dennis,

I took a really good look at them, some have lables that say Paris. I guess I'll rethink what's in the draw.

There was a Thread about silk covering. I now have a source at about 4.00 a yard, 5mm.

The sight also had dyes to color silk.

I'll get a few yards there and play it safe.  n~
