Irvine Engine Parts
« on: March 17, 2022, 08:20:02 PM »
Are Irvine engines still being made and if so, are parts available?

I have a 40 Diesel and I need a new front housing.

Thanks for any help.

Irvine are long gone. Ripmax in the UK still have some parts. There were a few versions of the .40 made. By front housing I guess you mean a bolt on front housing. That would suggest an earlier version. Don't like your chances, but try here.

Regrettably all of the 40's shown at Just Engines and Ripmax are the later integral crankcase models. I suspect he means this diesel version.

sounds like he needs the front end for the Q40 and/or the MK2 engine.

Any chance that a K&B 40 front end might fit?

   If you get to looking into it, I have two  Irvine .30's that for that displacement seem to have pretty large cases. Let me know and I can email you pictures and take some measurements. these engines are like new and surely would be at least good for a cross over parts source.

Robert, do you have the parts list for your engine?  If the front end of your motor is identified as a "front plate" then the .40 diesel front plate (pn S-40L-2005) is the same part as for the glow .46 ABC Mk.II

Thanks for all the helpful replies Gents.

My engine looks exactly like the photo posted by qaz049.

Ron - a K&B 40 front end may fit. Also, the ENYA 45 6001 looks like it may be a fit. We'll see.

Robert;;

there are a couple Irvine 40's with the front end you need on the flee bay.
One with 2 days left of bidding (no bidders yet located in Texas)
the other is located in England for $46 but located in England.

   These .30 R/C engines I have look like that also If you have it apart, send me some dimensions and I'll pull one apart and check. Pm me you email address and I'll send some pics of the engine.
