What iron-on covering is recommended over a sheeted foam wing ? Thx

You can use any film you want, just reinforce the center section with some fiberglass or something. I've used Coverite Microlite which is very light if you can find any in the color you want. The combat guys have SLC which is clear also very light and can be painted if you scuff it.
