I saw this the other day and thought it was slick. Using the wind across the microphone on the iphone and get the wind speed.

You know, that got me to thinking (I know Steve...it hurts! n~), useing the same idea, shouldn't it be a fairly simple matter to make an iphone into a tach as well?  Ok, not simple for me, but you electronic wizard types...hmmmm? D>K H^^

I remember a speed flier in Fargo, he was from Minneapolis, had a tape recorder in the center of the circle, later he would use his flute to match the pitch and determine RPM.

There is an iPhone tach app.  It was developed for RC heli use.
