Hello!
Just wanted to quickly introduce myself to y'all, I am a 30yo modeler from Utah just getting back into control line seriously. With the new laws and stigma surrounding the RC world these days I've decided to put all my energy and time into control line. Flown for years with few incidents and suddenly people want to complain about it being illegal. No need to comply with RFID can just put all my focus into building cool planes! Hope to meet some new friends and get some ideas for future models. Happy holidays and hope everyone has a nice evening!

In Utah, usually hook up with Brent Williams and Gordon to fly at a local park. Busy with work and travel would like to make it to the field more often!

Welcome back to REAL model flying.
The FAA and gummint have overreached in a very usual and stupid way with the RC / UAV licensing and now RFID. No. That is why I quit RC.
And they want us to believe that aliens are here. Wonder if the aliens have to register and license their saucers?

Arthur,
Good to see you on the forum. Keep in touch with Brent, Gordan, Roger Kramar and me. I invite you to join our local club, the Utah State Aeromodellers. We are a general interest club with control line, free flight and R/C flyers. The guys you know are all members. We meet in Salt Lake City. Hopefully you can get together with the Gordy or Brent and carpool down from up your area. By the way we meet on the first Tuesday of the month. That is today at 7:30 PM, they know the address.

I uncovered a new advantage to CL flying vs RC. At our club field (near Santa Rosa, CA) it is often foggy this time of year in the morning. All the RC'ers are standing around waiting for the fog to lift. But all I need is a 60' ceiling and I'm in the air.
