Title: Introduction
Post by: andreas johansson on May 25, 2007, 12:42:58 PM
Hi

I thought its time to introduce myself, my name is Andreas and I´m 31 years old and live in Sweden. I have flown model aircraft for almost my whole life. My dad got me started. I started out with FF, then onto RC, then I converted to C/L. I did fly C/L for almost 10 years. Then I converted back to RC, this time RC-Helicopters and I have flown F3C heli contest for 6 years now. Since my first kid was born in november last year, I do not have the time (or money for that matter) to continue with F3C competitions. Well what to do? Oyess, back to C/L! It will be great fun :-) I´m building a simple swedish model that look much like the Sig Skyray 35 both in size and look. I do not want to risk (word?) my Nobler yet...

Andreas
welcome to the fold, you will find many friendly and helpful fellow fliers on this forum many of whom have come back to control line. You cant beat the the fellowship that seems to exist within this great hobby of ours. I got back into it after 28 Years just wish I had done it sooner, did not realize I had been missing so much fun.

    Welcome "Andreas"

Hope you have as much fun here as a lot of us do. C/L is here to stay again or should that be STILL. Most of us, like you, are back from too long a lay off. Enjoy the ride, may it never stop.

Welcome Andreas!  I must say that everyone I have ever met from Sweden has been a very nice person.

I hope you get back into C/L quickly and enjoy it!  Believe me, if your child takes it up too, you will really enjoy that.

Hi guys!

Thanks for your kind replies. I wil post some pictures of my plane as soon as I have joined the main wing to the fuselage. I have bought an OS .25 LA-S for this plane, are there any known quirks with that engine? I really dont like rear mounted needle valve assemblys, but I guess I can buy a normal FP NVA and fit it to the engine. Also, I bought a 3 oz fuel tank, is that too large?

Thanks

Andreas

Don't know about the LA 25, but my Brodak 25 runs nine minutes + on 3 oz. of Powermaster 10/22.
