Introducing the "Agenda 75"
« on: February 17, 2007, 11:36:05 AM »
Guys,
It's basically done.  All that needs to be done is to have the clear coats sanded and rubbed out.  I'll wait about a month to do that.  Some particulars:

WS 59
WA 660
WT 58.9oz  with 1 1/2 oz tip weight  #^
Wing A/R 5.22
Stability Factor .490
Balance point 24% MAC
Foam wing with partial sheeting.
Monokoted wing, stab, flaps, and elevators.  2/10 CF and SIG dope on the fuselage, fin, and rudder.  Powered by a Randy Smith PA75 with a header muffler.  Bolly 13.75 x 4.5 3 bladed prop.  8 oz Sullivan clunk tank.

It's my own design but basically it has a Trivial Pursuit wing planform with an Impact airfoil.  A low aspect ratio tail of 3.86.

Looks like the weather will be good Friday for it's maiden flight down in St. Louis this weekend.  It sure is a good feeling to have it done.  Enjoy the pictures.

Concerning those "ink" lines.  They are Monokote strips 1/32 wide.  I hand slice them the width of a roll something like 26 inches.  I tape the roll to some basswood that I have so the roll doesn't move.  Then I place them where I want them to be and use the Monokote iron to seal them down.  You don't have to worry about bubbles.  :)  I turn down the Monokote iron about 25% so it is set at about 75% from full heat.

WOW! I love it. Modern stunter meets classic light plane. I dig the cabin look. Looks like someone could just hop in and take off!

Excellent job!

Good looking plane, Chris!!!

Looking forward to seeing you and Doc and Emmy and everyone this weekend.

For those interested in the Ice-O-Lated Contest in St. Louis, the forecast is looking favorable for the weekend after 4-5 weeks of well below average temperatures and lots of snow.  My backyard is almost clear and I hosed down the deck in shirt sleeves.  Saturday looks like it might be a good day for practice flights.  Contest Day (Sunday) is currently being forecast with high 40's to low 50's and maybe, scattered showers.  We ought to be able to get some flights in.  Wear layers of clothing.

regards,
