Here is a SR-71 story I had never come across before. Engine blows up at 70,000 ft over Baltic Sea. Watch video

I suspect that there are 100rds of untold stories surrounding the SR-71.   We have one on display at the Space and Rocket Center in Huntsville Alabama.   It's one good looking bird.   Thanks for posting,  A great story.   #^

 Interesting he said they dropped over 40,000 in one minute after the motor blew. Also he said the 71 flew fine on one motor after you got it down to 380 mph. Russia was watching for them to ditch the plane.
