information on reeding needed

I am looking for a source for some of the material that used to be included in the old Sterling boat kits. It was called reeding and was similar to a very fine broom straw product. It was used around the cabin tops where the paint changed to bare wood and became a sort of molding. I would like a source to buy it.

I ran across a gent that took over a firm that makes such a product. His reeding is the stuff that fender welting is wrapped around, as well as the handles for heavy shopping bags! It is a paper product, I have to find his info. We talked in January, let me look for it.
