Please look at the pictures posted below and help me with information about the Fox engine.
It appears new.
Thanks fellows ... It's a 29...

Send these pictures to Bill Mohrbacher [ gwmfox35@comcast.net ] who probably knows more about Fox engines than anyone but the late Duke Fox.

Page 32 of Anderson's 4 TH edition engine Bible, says it's a 1965 29X B/B speed engine.

Good luck, Jerry

Hello Don Its a Fox 29xBB for Speed or Rat Race. It followed on from the 29R single plug bath tube intake of 1958 in the mid 60's.  I have one in its box pictures attached including the instructions.
 Regards Gerald

the 29R bathtub was the first then the 29X which ruled B Proto for a few years then the K&B 29R and the Super Tigre came out .the rear venturie was Fox;s try to keep up with the real speed engines .it never really worked out

I appreciate the information...The details provided are very helpful and this will allow me to check the displacement... The piston appears larger than any of my Fox 29 and perhaps larger that the Fox 35's.
Again thanks for responding.

The only clear difference between them is the slanted plug and the wrist pin access hole on the 40.

I think you will find it is a .738" bore and a .700" stroke.  This was the standard Fox setup for 29s from the first one until the 6 bolt rear cover 29s.
