Info wanted on vintage Capitol Model Kits of Brooklyn
« on: September 19, 2021, 03:00:48 PM »
Anyone know if Capitol Model kits of Brooklyn had die cut or printed wood parts. Not sure what dates they are but late 1950s or very early 1960s is in question.

Thanks,
Bill

Hope this helps.  The late 40s through the  50s All were print wood. The second kit is newer but it does have die cut plywood parts.

Thanks Tony. Do you know if that Stggerwing is the same one kitted (later?) by AristoCraft? Same scale and wingspan but the AristoCraft kit was die cut.

.

I don't really know about the Stagger wing. The Aristo Craft kits were imported, I believe from Japan and sold by Polk's hobbies.
Back in the day in the Brooklyn, New York city area there were so many, kit Mfg.'s it was unreal. The Berkeley kit co. was about a 20min drive from our house.
