Where are all the tanks? These are the only ones ive used on full fuselages, i checked Brodak and didnt see any. Its for a Vector 40 with Os La 46, and seems the largest tank that i can fit is 5oz. I want the same set up as the ones in the photo. Two pipes in the front, uniflow and fuel feed to engine, and one overflow on the top.
For some time I have been building my own tanks from the Brodak kit.
This is a 4oz I made for the Vector.
Really easy to do, the parts fit and you can make the uniflow exit where ever you want.
On my first Vector tank I had the exit for the uniflow like yours but it interfered with the manifold on the side of the fuse so the next time I made a tank I moved the uniflow exit next to the feed line.
Of course both tanks had copper tubing and the uniflow line was soldered to the feed line at the rear of the tank in the usual manner.
Both tanks work perfect for a nice 4-2-4 engine run.
I got into building my own tanks because I was having a lot of engine run problems with the awful workmanship of the store bought tanks internal plumbing.
To fix it I was having to open the back of the tank anyway so I just started using the kits.
Whoever is assembling those tanks just does not have the slightest clue how to solder....they might as well have used Comet glue, Sigment or Ambroid....if they could find any....to build those crummy tanks....snarl...
