Title: in memorium of Jaures Garofali R.I P.
Post by: Robert McHam on March 31, 2009, 01:38:10 PM
I just read in another forum that Jaures Garofali passed away last week.

Quote:
"Jaures Garofali passed away last week.
This closes the personal engine adventure he begun seventy years ago, but leaves to the G20 the role of a living legend in the hands of scores of modelers .

I always wanted a Supertigre engine solely upon its reputation but never did get one...

Mr. Garofali will be remembered...

Robert

I hate double posting but should someone post this info in Speed Talk?

The G-21 series has to be one of (if not the most) sucessful engine familes ever produced.  Through FRV & RV versions and displacements of 29, 35, 40, & 46 ALL made their marks in Speed, Combat, Racing, Carrier, & CLPA, not to mention their impact in RC Pylon & Free Flight.

Thank You Jaures and SuperTigre for a job well done.

The little G20's didn't do too bad either.  ;D
