Imitation Kits are starting to ship (Update 1/17)
« on: January 17, 2018, 11:32:10 AM »
I just got off the phone with Eric Rule at RSM about the progress on cutting the Imitation kits.  I want to update you since you all have been extremely patient anxiously awaiting your kits.
Bottom line is that all 25 kits should be shipped and on their way to all of you by this time next week or the 24th of January.
I had 25 orders for kits and according to Eric that is an unusually large order.  His laser is capable of cutting 5 kits a day and then he packs and ships them the next day so it takes a week of his time just to get my kits cut and that is not counting all of the other orders from other customers that are streaming in.
The plywood takes the longest to cut and he has all the plywood for all the kits cut.  He did run out of 1/16th balsa which is what the ribs are cut from so he had to wait for that to come in.  Also we lost over a week when Eric returned from vacation when he came down with a bad case of the flu.
So hold on, your kits will be on the way in the next few days and I want to sincerely thank everyone for making this kit a wonderful success and again, I appreciate your patience.

Mike

Thanks for all your hard work bringing this amazing kit to us Mike.  Greatly appreciated.

Also many thanks to Ted and Eric, I know that their input was invaluable as well.

I can't wait to get mine and get started on building it.
