I was interested in what appeared to be a Curtiss P-36/Mohawk/Model 75, one of my favorite warbirds. In essence, it's a radial engined predecessor to the P-40 (NOT a P.40!). Look, Ma, round engine, and no teeth to paint! ;D Steve

Geez, Louise!!!!!!! All those War Birds together in one place, I would almost move to England just to see that!
BIG Bear
RNMM/AMM

Did anyone else spot a flying Aircobra in formation?! Man, I thought these were pretty much extinct!
-
I thought that little clip of the camera attached to the bottom of the p-38 was really cool!
Yes, goose bumps!
-
Thanks Claudio! ;D Im going to watch that several more times! #^

Didn't realize how many warbirds there are in Europe. The number of flyable warbirds has increased since I was stationed there in `84-`86 - RAF Fairford.

You are welcome, John.
Yes! I saw it nine times since yesterday, and I get the same sensation every time.
Ahhh...wish I were there...

Dad just got back from a trip to Europe to complete something off his "bucket list" : Seeing the famous Duxford Airshow.
He got a Golf VIP pass for the Saturday event which allowed pit access, priority parking, marquee lunch and flightline walk. He said it was simply the greatest single event he has ever attended.
Surpassed the birth of his only child also I might add........... ( his words... not mine )
There were hundreds of exhibitions, people running full sized Merlin engines - Lancaster and B17 flyovers - Mustangs, Spitfires, everything to encapsulate what it would be to be considered " Flying Legends"
He is still waiting for this DVD - I have plenty of photo's I can upload if anyone is interested.
Simply amazing he said..
