No one has ever criticized me for building and flying toy airplanes.
Many have smirked or snickered at the idea.
I can always tell'em there are other ways to use their time.

Hello there. I have a better one for you. True story. I went with my Daughter to the 2016 World Championship as spectator in Australia. Two competitors ask me the same question;" Why did I travel so far to watch toy airplane flying". Ironic since they travel that far to fly toy airplanes. Go figure.

No limit on what us old boys will spend on what is called toys. Look at the custom car field. H^^

We sometimes do crazy things. I once spent a year and several thousand dollars restoring a Mercedes 190. When I finished, it was valued at "a few thousand", ( less than I spent! ). (it wasn't a classic). I neglected to add enough anti-freeze, and the block cracked in cold weather. It was then worth even less!

I tell my wife it is her insurance policy. When I am gone she can put an add in the paper. Have toys, need man.

I make no apologies about my I.C.E.
That is an "Innocent Creative Endeavor"
When challenged about toy airplanes,
I ask the person if they remember when they were a child.
"Did you play with your friends in the sunshine?
Did you run around laughing and challenging yourself
with new experiences?
When was the last time you did that? "
They always get thoughtful and say it was a long time ago.
Then they realize why I fly toy airplanes.

I love the smell of ignition fuel in the morning.
