I have no idea where Dad originally got this, but it is cast magnesium and marked "Consolidated Model Eng Co". Any ideas what plane this was for?

Someone on FB "Control Line Flying" figured it out. A Consolidated MPC-7 stunt/combat model.

Looks like magnesium alloy which is slightly heavier but stronger than pure magnesium.

I have one of those kits but the fuselage is balsa.
