I volunteered to serve on the AMA-STF (AMA-Strategic Task Fource).
I have been assigned to the STFMAG. (AMA-Members Advisory Group).
The members of the STFMAG will review proposals submitted by the other AMA-STF groups. As the only Control Line flier on the group, I will be looking out for our special needs and interests.
The two major areas we will be addressing are loss of membership and long term financial stability.
For Confidentially reasons, any private inputs to me via US Mail, telephone or Email, will only be shared with other members of the AMA-STFMAG.

Clancy,
Glad to hear that we have a CL rep on board.
Without show obvious prejeduce to CL, I think they have to show and feature more inexpensive airplanes of all types in MA. Reading about high end jets might be nice, but most of the AMA membership can't afford them, nor do they have the experience to fly them.
They might also have to go back to membership without the magazine to reduce the costs. Maybe they can have an option of an on line MA similar to PAMPA.

Way to go Clancy. Thanks for stepping up.

Doc
I have been told that only 8 % of the members of AMA fly Control Line.
If that number is even close, then 5 of the 64 Volunteers on the AMA-STF should have been Control Line fliers. As far as I can tell, I am the only one.

Mr. Arnold. 8% flying C/L is still a lot of people! 8% of us are left-handed, and that's also a lot (in addition to having generally higher I.Q.).
8% may not seem like many to the "big box" advertisers and manufacturers, but if we can keep 8%, I'll be happy.
