Was it worth the money to upgrade this site? What would you like to see added? your thoughts?
It took many hours to do this and I finished at 5 am this morning.

Robert,
56 views as I type this and you have no replies?
I've been busy so I haven't been in. What upgrade?
Also, you asked, "What would you like to see added? your thoughts?"
You make no mention as to what could be removed?

I can't tell any difference at all after the new server update. I suppose it might just be because of my own computer or the connection speed. Actually the site works fine for me, no complaints.
Otherwise I think there is more than plenty to be found here on the site, it's really great, but I would still like to see the old Classifieds back.

speed on my end seems faster.

It seems to be working well at my end. Very fast and all the features seem to be working. Thanks for all you do.

Sparky, It's DEFINITELY quicker here. Noel.

Robert, I have my 12 favorite sites saved for quick access. In the last 12 months SH started slowing down and became the longest site to access of the 12 favorites. All forums.
( Not including the weather channel. )
Now, Stunt Hanger is in the Top 3 concerning access and surfing the site speed. Good job at managing and looking out for the future of stunthanger.com . I noticed the upgrade immediately.
You have a good group of members that support your site & C/L. This kind of fellowship is becoming extinct in this country and I personally thank you all !

The site seems to be much quicker, and although I don't make many posts, this site certainly makes the hobby much more enjoyable and in some cases easier with the endless amount of information. With the new system, can larger pictures be posted on the photo gallery or will it still be limited to 800X600 100 kb? By the way, I have a photo waiting for approval.

Definitely quicker on my end.

faster on my end.

I think so, its much faster and you fixed the one problem I was having with the site. If I did a search, and looked at a thread then hit back button (to go back to the search results), it wouldn't work. Now it works just fine.
Thanks,
Rick

Working great for me now. Daughter found bad connectors in the system between the hard drive and the other stuff.
-
Seems faster to me also.

It do work faster! I'd still like to see a major button that would lead us to all sponsors and our vendors. Speaking of vendors, there is a fair number of those that have shut the doors, and they'd probably appreciate not getting contacted for stuff anymore. Garf's "List of CL Links" is still a good source, tho a cattle prod might not do much harm to keep it updated! LL~ Steve

I'm assuming that Northcoast Hobby is gone, because Wayne Buran died this month. S&S has been kaput for a couple of years, but maybe a courtesy email would be in order. Same for CLC and Sammy's Model Design...never saw any activity on that one, and no idea who Sammy is. I was thinking that Crist Rigotti's foam wings forum was still up, but it's not...I bet he's happy about that!
The one thing I've noticed is that guys "do their thing" for a few years and come to their senses and shut 'er down...but bless their pea pickin' hearts while they're active! That goes for you, too, Sir! H^^ Steve

I'm stupid, I guess....but I didn't see anything wrong pre-upgrade, and don't notice any difference post.
Oh well

The thing was with our old server our file count was almost to the limit of their unlimited space. Don't ask I am cornfused too. This was dragging the resources down. So the new home should be fine for the next 7 years. The thing is as we grows the file count grow exponentially and can get out of hand.
I am always looking for ways to streamline the process. It's no fun to wait for a post to appear or a pic to load. Many were experiencing this problem.

The proprietor of North Coast Hobby, Wayne Buran is alive and kicking. I flew with him this week and exchanged several emails a day ago. Perhaps you are confusing him with Byron ? As far as the new server speed goes, it works and I don't notice any speed gain loading pages. But I'm using DSL.

When I slipped you a donation at the 12th Street Cafe I did not expect this much improvement!
Thanks,

Sparky this site is great and I hope that you will always keep up the fine job. There is so much info for us new guys that I don't know how to manage what I use, other than bookmarking. I, too, would like to see the old classifieds return.
Thanks again,
Steve Thornton

Steve as you found out I am not dead. I did shut down my web site because the return on investment was to low. I continue to serve my customers as I have with in stock C/L items and and prompt shipping.
Thanks
Wayne

Sparky,
My only suggestion is to return to the traditional "Classifieds" section.
