I Love My Country

I took this picture at Texas Motor Speedway the 1st weekend of June 2013. I feel that this a fitting way to remember what the 4th of July is all about, and to wish everyone a happy and safe day.

Thank you Tom, I love my country too and this is a great picture. Contrary to a certain woman's contention that that's "just a damn flag", my heart swells with pride and aches with sadness at the same time.

A great shot.  You should see the looks when some forget to remove their hats or put their hands over their hearts during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner at the races.  A couple of races ago the sound system went berserk at the start of the recording.   The fans tok over and sang it.  It was great.  It is also great that our military personal get in for free to the races

I went to high school in a different country. Trust me, the United States is where its at!  Although, Switzerland is supposed to be the cats meow. And Monaco ain't half bad either!!
