I had to go see my mother before she shes gone. She has breast cancer and is not doing too well. While visiting I did get to fly with some local board members. Some were on their way to the VSC. My father got out for the day. I am home now for any questions and working on finalizing the first issue, which is due out in a few days. Thanks to all the forum moderators for keeping the peace.

Robert,
Our thoughts and prayers for you, your Mom and your family. I lost my Mother 55 years ago, and the "Mom" who raised me 25 years ago. May you all have peace in your hearts and minds.

Robert, We are all reminded of our powerlessness when we try to think of words of comfort for someone in a situation like yours.
The best I can do is to say that we share that pain and hope you take a little comfort in knowing that we care.
Consider this message to be an arm around your shoulders and the words "I am sorry".

Sparky, sorry to hear the news. I never know what to say and if I were there with ypu all I could really do is put my arm around you. I lost my mom years ago and the mom I got when I got married a couple of years ago. Take care and I will put you on our prayer chain. Also be sure and take care of Dad. DOC Holliday

Sorry to hear about your Mom.
Makes all else seem trivial.

Sparky,
I lost both my parents about 5 years ago--it still hurts and probably always will. It does get better but it won't go away.
The time you were able to share with your Mom will be a treasure to you later.
Regards,
Jim

Sparky, my wife is now on her fifth year after having a masectomy for breast cancer and is still cancer free . The first two years were very difficult, so we know how you feel. Our prayers are with you and your mother.
