Nothing gets your day started than to wake up to the noise of a good stunt engine and the sweet smell of burnt castor in the morning! LL~ H^^

Thats usually the way my clothes smell the next day after a flying session. After a while you cannot wash the smell out. Actually it is almost as bad as stale cigarette smoke. Buit I do like the smell of burnt castor oil and airplane dope any time of the day.
I remember shultzie always smelled like caster oil except after a Date with some sweety that I always tried to steel from him. but now he just smells like Blue Ribbon Beer. LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ LL~ HB~>

Is there a antidote for this? HB~>

OR...Nothing gets your day started better than to wake up to the noise of a good electric motor, and the smell of spent electrons, in the morning!!
-
gotta love the smell myself, memories,, early morning flying, dew on the ground, a light fog just lifting as you signal for release. standing in the center of the circle, motor purring away and the gentle breeze wafts a light mist of castor past you, sigh,, oh yeah baby,, thats the life.
of course Ozone,, that works too,, but not quite as easy to smell from center circle,, ok so when we get more electrics flying, we need a castor smudge pot next to the circle

Yea, but the cost or transporting electons is not in the budget. HB~>

Paul...
Hummm, spent Electrons??? Seriously, I have a really dumbolddo question for you and the engineer types lurking!
I have a really powerful battery operated electric drill...and about a month ago..I was installing some shelving in the bedroom closets and every time I drilled holes that drill was give off "that funny electronical-sniffonical smell? :! #^ :P :o :o LL~
DO YOU THINK THAT IS POSSIBLY WHAT "SPENT ELECTRONS REALLY SMELL LIKE?
dumb n' dumber-numerdonolddo exiled in the gig!
I remember that similar smell years ago...when working near those huge electric motors that powered the windtunnel fans?

Sounds more like the smell of "spent" insulation to me; like the varnish used to fix windings in place . . .

Yep, that is Mike Scott setting up for his official in Texarkana. He burns as much fuel as anyone out there.
The guy holding the plane is none other than ole "Castor Bath Tom" Farmer. Phil Nickels and myself gave him that nickname a few years back because he still runs a very large profile Forerunner, his own design, with an inboard mounted Tiger 60. That means for us launchers, and the pilot, you will get a great big dose castor from his 28% oil as his tunes the motor and that inboard on top tongue muffler is just covering you from head to toe the whole time. If you like that smell then call Tom up and tell him you want to launch for him a few times and you will get all you want. #^ #^ #^

We had plenty of muffled noise and burnt castor smell Saturday morning. But neither Donaldo or Randy chose to attend. Pete Ferguson flew his Stregasaurus Rex in the So. Circle. Rod Claus flew "Re-Run", and Mike Haverly flew his JD Falcon (now with OS .46LA) and Ornamental Plus, also on the So. Circle. No rain fell during this event!
There were significant PRIZES won! The Pool Titzer Prize, Stan Lee Cup, No Bell Prize, and some gallons of Powermaster 10-22. It was heavily advertised on our website, but you two still can't show. What we gonna do wit' you pervs? LL~ Steve

Randy and I...WE BE B-B-B-B-B-B--B-BBBBBAAAD TO DA BONE!
It was my beloved wife's mother's birthday and everyone had to show up at a combo mutta'sday-Birthday celebration in Port Orchard.
Uhhhh? I would suspect that Randy after that marithone painting session with his beautiful new "SHOE" his honey-doo list might have been extremely long. Check out that great looking model of his---not to change the subject!

Don and Steve,
I wish it would have been there. I had to drive down to Olympia on Saturday morning. My son as it turns out, has strep throat. He was burning up and we hauled him out of his dorm room and took him to the urgent care clinic. They loaded him up with anti-biotics and he is currently sleeping on the couch down stairs. Trust me, I would rather have been flying at the fun fly than driving to Olympia and sitting for 3 hours in the clinic waiting area.
Hope everyone had a good time.

Hey Randy, no matter what they say, FAMILY comes first. Hope he gets better. DOC Holliday
