After haning out with the NW Fireballs I got the chance to fly one of Richards E. many Tut2 ARF. I like the way it flew. Some people call this a school bus of a plane, but I have seen one fly a very nice Advance Pattern. Louis Rankin's Bear Tutor 2 ARF comes to mind.
I bought this one off my buddy Zuriel. He wanted $4449.00 for it but I got him to knock off a few bucks for the missing rudder. LL~
Any way I have my very own and I hope it will allow me to catch up with Ryan. y1
It needs a rudder but not a big deal.

should be flyable in 5 minutes huh?
-
Nope. Takes longer than that for Paul to make it heavy. #^ LL~
-
Well I hope it will take me longer then 5 mins to crash and repair this one. <=
-
Interesting. The last time I saw that Tutor II, it had a rudder. He who has joined the Dark Side (R/C helicopters) must have traded it for helicopter parts. Zuriel's awfully hard on equipment these days. VD~

OK here she is all spruced up.
I added the rudder and put on a few decals and ironed out a few wrinkles.
I will think of all my friends in the NW when I fly this plane. And the guy that handed it over. Thanks Z-Man

Always nice to have another plane. You be styling now. Let us know how it flys for you. I assume you went with the LA46?? You'll have a great time with it.

Paul,
That turned out very nicely. I can assure you, from experience, it lands just as good upside down as it does right-side up. Doesn't score as well though.
Now...if you added a swash plate and some rotors... >:D

Thanks Greg and Z-Man.
I will keep you guys posted. Maybe fly it on my lunch hour next week.
No swashing and roters on this this board. Bad Z-Man, Bad. n1 LL~
*&^% if this emote turns out it is me rubbing your nose in it and smacking you with a rolled up news paper. LL~
Edit. Darn it did not show up.
I am sure you would score better landing upside down as I do right side up. HB~>

looks real good Paul. we added a couple more here in the northwest . remember ART Z and it flys like a school bus, well he got tired of flopping around with his Brodak and showed up Monday with a new Tutor. flys nice with a os 40 and now the word is it is a nice buss. Miss your good B S out here but i guess it is better that a Paul Taylor spreads his good times as a great repesentive of Tennessee A Fireball friend Geoffrey

Paul,
The Tutor II looks good to me. What I want to know is, what are we gonna do with Zuriel and this helicopter fixation of his?
Mike

Geoffrey - I got a picture of Art's Tut2. Looks good for a school bus.
Mike - Not sure what to do with Z-Man. Smack him around.
Ty - I got the hint. ;D
-
I hope dad keeps this one around for awhile.
Maybe I can talk him into combat with the Tutors.
I bet mine would win ! LL~ HB~> :## :X n~ S?P y1

HI Paul. Take another look at Louis's Tutor he modified. It has an ST .51. y1 Hint. H^^
I had the opportunity to fly Lou's and it does fly really nice ( VD~ even at it's advanced weight VD~). The one Paul now owns weighs in at 49 ozs after a couple of years of flying. The LA 46 will work just fine, and without the extra weight.

Ryan,
We will know there is serious money on the match, if your dad starts taking combat lessons from Mark, our combat expert here in Portland. LL~
Just kidding. ;D
He has already admitted that you are a better stunt pilot, but he is a fine stunt pilot in his own right, so you must be pretty darn good! H^^
