It's popular because it is controversial, and on the internet controversy starts arguments
and fights, which are popular to watch. There's a flywheel effect, they keep running on their
own stored kinetic energy, which some "spectators" like to spin up periodically.
I'm afraid PAMPA "discussions" are like all religion and politics, never really resolved and a
constant opportunity to flame.
Just my opinion. I've promised myself to stay out, because I'm one of those who get
caught up in such stuff, when I know better. (We'll see how that goes. I do like seeing
it separated from the model airplane talk.)
