The FAA was founded by the big federal government as a "fix" to the collision between United & TWA while sightseeing over the Grand Canyon in 1956.

This one crash in which 128 people perished has justified a gigantic bureaucracy that employs thousands and costs billions and will live forever.
Now that the bureaucracy is in place they ignore crashes with double the body count and attack toys with no history of risk to humans.

Worldwide airline crashes in 1950 : 12.
Worldwide airline crashes in 2011 : 24.

Well done, Federal Aviation Authority.

Yep, today is the Atheists Holiday.  Don't believe me, it has been to court about the Atheist that claimed he or his people had no National Holiday.   The judge of the case pulled out the Bible and showed him in print there was one and has been since day one.   Now I got that off my chest. the administrator can do his thing.
