If remember right, the Novi lll, and the All American Eagle share almost all the same numbers, except the AAE was never really campaigned like the Novi lll was.
Interestingly, they both, while being I-Beamers, did not use strip ribs. They used full ribs slipped onto the I-Beam, otherwise they were built exactly in the same fashion as those that did use strip ribs.
There are others that used this type of construction.
Dennis is correct in his evaluation. Picking a design is not easy because the kit maker needs to sell a number of kits before he can make even a small profit for his work.
