32 hours after I was admitted for spinal surgery, I am home and it seems I have a lt less nerve pain. There is pain due to surgery so it will be a while before I know how successful it was . I am leaking some spinal fluid at the incision and the surgeon wants to see me in the office tomorrow and fix that.
Thanks fr all your thoughts and prayers to help get me through this. They have me on Oxycodone and Flexaril soi am pretty mellow right now.

This is great news. Mike! With those pain killers, you'll be flying without the airplane!
-
Glad to see you back home safe and sound. God speed on your recovery.
Watch out for the painkillers. Percodan and a knee operation 34 years ago - after four days, I got to liking it a little too much. Gave the pills back to the doc and just took aspirin. Hurt like hell, but my mind was clear.

Did you explain to the surgeon that you are not just a model airplane builder, but a stunt flyer, and that you can fix the leak and suture the incision yourself?
-
Get well soon Mike!!! We are all rooting for ya !
-
Glad to hear that you are home, Mike. Take care of yourself and get well soon!!!

Make sure the surgeon uses double wrapped stitches, not crimped ones. :##

Good news Mike, heal quick!!!!

Mike, you're proof that ya can't keep a good man down!

I'm so happy for you. The surgery pain gets better every day. I'm four weeks post surgery now and not much pain anymore. The first couple of days are the hardest, but hold in there. I'll keep praying for you. just do exactly what the doctor tells you for recovery.

Mike,
It is good to hear that you are home. Holler if there is anything I can do. I will keep praying.

God Bless & God Speed Mike!

Beware of that Oxycodone. Dangerous stuff!
-
Glad you got it fixed, Mike. I hope it stays fixed. Back trouble sucks.
-
Hey Mike
Glad your home!
Have the doc put some thin CA on your leak. That should fix it. LL~
I'm kidding ;D
I'm not a doctor but I did stay at a holiday inn express.
-
So glad you are home and on the mend.
-
Welcome home and home is a great place to be.

Glad you made it back, Mike. I was thinking of you. As Howard notes, back problems are not fun.
-
Glad to hear you are okay....after my back surgery, I took 2 pillows and put them side by side[in my recliner] with a space between about 1" and that was the least painful I found. Get well soon buddy!
-
Be good and get well fast. Hope to see you back out at the field soon..

Beware of that Oxycodone. Dangerous stuff!
OXYCODONE HCL 5MG TABS MALLI
Those teenie little tabs not the really "DANGEROUS" stuff..What is more dangerous....LACK OF SLEEP from the pain...USUALLY one teenie tab is all ya need to help U get into a sleep cycle. Again that leaking spinal fluid sounds should be a reasonably EZ fix with the "instant glue" (only performed and used by a qualified Dr. and especially the medical approved brands)...
I had my surgery for some time now....and am even beginning to mow the yard and wash the car. Still get very very tired and pains down from the knees to the ankles if I put in too much walkin' or workin.
Even took a few days off a couple of weeks ago to Cannon Beach for a quick kite fix with a very light wind kite...with 2 mph wind and 75 ft. of #50 lb. spectra still bending over and walking in soft sand sucked.
Get well soon.....DRINK LOTS N LOTS OF WATER! Keep movin' and the exercises are priority numero uno~

Hi Mike:
Glad you are home safe after all of the "stuff" you had to endure in order to get it done. Remember to listen to the doc and do what he says. It is also a pretty good idea to listen to what Linda (the real boss) says!!!!

Hi Brother Mike,
My prayers still go out for your recovery. We have talked about my wife's surgery, and your prior surgery so I can feel what you are going through.
Me and the Doctors are just figuring on what surgery I should get first! LL~ LL~
Take care and be well.

Hi guys and thanks to all of you for the well wishes... Since I am still leaking fluid from the incisions on my spine, the doc wants me in bed lying down except to get up to eat and go the the bathroom. This is a break for lunch so thought I would give you an update....well back to bed until he releases me to get back on my feet..literally...

Gettin enough deep rem' sleep? Really important. If not maybe ask about a low dose muscle relax type of pill such a maybe a Diazepam 5mg pill before bed time to see if that might help. (These are also to help reduce those muscle spasm's that really can keep up wakin' up off n on all night.
DEEP SLEEP IS # ONE HEALING AGENT!!!! BW@
