I'm building a .40 size twin do I need to

The twin is a L.A. Heaat. The nacelles are 17 1/2 inches apart. The wing is a regular ole D-Tube.

Sould I fiberglass the center sheeting on the wing? The center sheeting spans all the way from one nacelle to the other.

I would suggest  that you do, Also  I would  NOT use 2 40s,  use  2  36s  instead

It's too late. The .40s are there.

Dave Keats came out last Sunday with a twin Mustang profile that sported two .25s he had a pretty concerned look on his face once it got airborne.

Will .5 0z. cloth do the trick?

My computer crashed and I lost the pictures. I think in a few weeks I'll have it ready to cover then I'll post the pictures. The twin is stalled out right now and I am trying to finish my new stunter. A few more touch ups and the letters and I'll have it ready for clear. I hope a picture of that will be O.K. for now.

I don't weigh 250 pounds but I can handle the plane. I'm going to check with Windy on the lines. But I think he'll say .018 x 70.

The .5 glass cloth will work very well for you
About the lines, you will  need  .021s   for the  2  40s
.018s  if you  used  2- 36s

It's 5 a.m. in Detroit . I just cleared my work bench and took some pics of the L.A. Heat. I could have had the model finished by now but i'm easily distracted. I've been fooling around for two months with the electric Smoothie. First building it
. Then flying it. Then putting the construction and flying videos together.
   I'm running in a Big Art Brodak .40 to put on my Pathfinder ( I sold the .40 that was on it). And I'm finishing up the Legacy pictured earlier on this thread.

The L.A. Heat should only produce about 12 to 15 pounds of pull.
 with the two .40s. And now that I'm looking at it again I feel moved to get it done. It will probably be scary to fly it at first but I just know it will be a blast.

I plan to use epoxy to stick the glass cloth on the wing center section. I read somewhere that acetone or alcohol would be a good thinner for the epoxy. Can someone tell me about this?

Alcohol will work, but I would look for a finishing epoxy that has a two hour drying time. It is already thin. Or use the west system epoxy it is real nice to work with. I have a full size boat I built using it.

Get some Z-Poxy to apply the .5 oz (5/10ths) FG.  Z-Poxy is thin enough and works better than anything I have used.  You *can* thin other epoxies with acetone (I prefer lac. thinner) but I get concerned about the strength when I do it for anything other than fuel proofing an engine compartment.

Randy had a true point about the lines.  (2) 40s will require .021 per AMA rules.  Windy has always been careful to stay under the limit (.77??) so that he can use .018s.  He used "custom made" Ro-Jetts (under 40 sizes) in all his twins.  Heck, (2) Magnum 36s (stock, cheap) would pull that thing through a Hurricane!
