Title: Huntersville North Carolina contest

Windy today at the field, lots of hanger flying, model repair , showing off new models etc, but little flying , some were going out late to catch a few flights before dark.

A trip to the local fish camp was on the agenda for most.

Field setup for 9:30 pilots meeting tomorrow, carrier (4 classes) , combat, OTS, n-30, profile and basic flight tomorrow ... Five circles going at one time .. Busy day ..


Combat put on a good show , the 1/2 a combat is a great event for spectators.

Your Speed Limit Combat Winners today. Don Stoneman 3rd, Ron Colombo 2nd, Mike Londke 1st. Londke and Colombo had a barn burner for the last match of the day. Went the full 5 minutes with 2 cuts each, some close calls but no mid-airs with some really excellent flying.

,   Started out windy then as the day progressed into the second round things settled down , good flying , late in the afternoon, weather got nice, little wind, sunny day .

Carrier and combat put on a good show..

Lunch served by local New York  Mamma's  deli.. Good food .. Lots of vendors , lots of stuff traded , sold , etc.

Terry Mcdowell's  and Charlie reeves famous   Sherbet. ice cream tonight at hotel ,

Tomorrow is Pampa skill classes,
