The Huntersville NC Contest is just around the corner, the site is in better shape than ever, Parks dept is on the ball with maintance , come out and enjoy some great fall weather in the Carolina's... We have some special awards this year and hope to see the regulars out and bring some first timers to the Carolina's. Normal rules and stunt classes both days, combat, carrier, 404 event

Who is coming and where will you be staying , Make reservations early , the hotels fill up fast

I would love to make it. I have a four day weekend that week so it would work out perfectly!!

Only problem is I don't have a car...

"Toby" Arciero (can't spell his last name!) has moved to the Mountains of NC or Georgia (all are close together). Last time I spoke to him he was out of the hobby for a while. There might be someone who can give Matt a ride! ??

The pool bull /hanger flying session is on, same as last year, don't book a room too close to the pool if you want to go to bed early ,

I'm gonna try to make it if I can get away from the Jet repair facility at Cecil Field.
It's my Dad's bitthday on that weekend (21st) and I think he would like to come to see the spectical.

In the 50's at night and the leaves are starting to turn, should be around peak around here at the contest time , past peak color in the mountains in a couple weeks?. Great time for a extended vacation

Auhhhha............Sounds very relaxing, My mom is from Boone,NC and we used to go up ounce a year when I was growing up.

Reminder ,

The stunt judging clinic will be Friday evening at 4:00 pm, usually last around 1 hour, helpful to judges and contestants, site is open all week, if you will be in town before thursday contact one of us to make sure the gate is open , I will be there mid day Thursday, all day Friday , Sat and Sunday

Steve,

SAT...OTS will be on grass circle, classic on upper paved circle, profile will be on r/c runway, carrier on other end of runway in the grass, combat in normal location . Lower paved circle open all day for practice ,

Sunday , advanced on lower paved circle , expert on upper paved circle , beginner on grass, intermediate on r c runway,

The grass is cut very short on OTS circle , looks better than ever

Looks like another great weekend, for NASCAR fans , most race shops are on the same exit or two exits north in Mooresville NC , NASCAR hall of fame twenty minutes away, and a big gun show is the same weekend, at metrolina expo , close by,

Airplanes, guns and NASCAR......What else is needed for a fun weekend

I have to tell you I was looking fwd to coming up for the contest but the full scale aircraft repair facility has once again taken piority over the recreational flying I had planned to do with you guys in Huntersville.

You know schedule time & money . They just told me today that it's mandatory so I'm stuck at the old grind stone. So put up a flight for me and maybe I can make it to your next one.

Hate you cannot make it, always good to have the Weedman's at the contest ...looks like great weather , field looks good, grass is cut and people start arriving on Thursday for a good fun family weekend , almost like a family reunion for us,
